This was my first wedding to do in Bentonville.  We got lost.  Go figure right?  The GPS sent us to the airport!  That was a fun detour.  When we finally arrived, we weren't sure we were at the right place, which led to having to call Chris, Kristen's father to be sure we were in the right place.  I'm sure he thought that I was crazy.  We did however, manage to get to the site for the ceremony.

The ceremony was held in the woods on the edge of a large field.  There was a path built that led into the woods.  Once you followed the path there was a clearing surrounded by trees wrapped in tull and blue pom-poms hanging from the branches.  The seats were built from trees!

I LOVED Kristen's Bouquet! Isn't it beautiful?!

The ceremony was short, but so sweet.  They wrote their own vows, and had a unity candle ceremony.  The wind would not cooperate!

The speech that Kristen's father gave was perfect.  I laughed.  I even cried.  It was so sweet.  By the time he was finished everyone had tears in their eyes.  Happy tears.

Harding's Camp Tahkodah Wedding Photographer-----Alex+Kaylee https://bakerstreetphotography.zenfolio.com/blog/2013/6/hardings-camp-tahkodah-wedding-photographer-----alex-kaylee

I had a total blast at this wedding, I feel that I need to say that up front.  Kaylee and Alex are such a wonderful couple!  It was such an honor to capture their big day.

Harding Wedding, Searcy Arkansas Wedding Photography, Kaylee

Kaylee was a beautiful bride, though I don't think I have to tell anyone who has eyes---they can totally see that for themselves.  She was so easy to work with---she took everything in stride, even when her photographer asks her on her wedding day where she would like to be 'shot'.  Yeah, I am glad she laughed at that and did not get offended...note to self---don't ask brides where they would like to be 'shot' on their wedding day!

Britni and Nick https://bakerstreetphotography.zenfolio.com/blog/2012/9/britni-and-nick Doing the engagement session with this couple was awesome.  We had some ups and downs... the downs being the fact that as soon as I stepped off the Nature Trail, I stepped in a hole, and fell to the ground. I was so embaressed! My ankle was twisted and it hurt SO bad! I saw as I was falling, not only my husband trying to get to me, but Nick as well. I am a large woman, so I can imagine most people would have a hard time not laughing at my rolling antics in the tall grass.  Britni and Nick didn't laugh. This showed me that this couple was not only beautiful to photograph, but genuine in their kindness. Being around them was... refreshing.  They showed me that kindness still exists in this crazy world, and I have to thank them for that.  Britni and Nick were so understanding about everything. I had to sit in the itchy grass while Chris did a fantastic job of getting things rolling.  Working with this couple was so fun, and I must say: Easy.  Their session was fun, and they were easy to photograph!

I have been dying to do a session like theirs! A rustic and romantic shoot.

In the short time that Chris and I spent with this couple, it was obvious how much they love each other.  Who couldn't tell?! People would have to be blind to not see it.

It was great meeting you both, and Congrats!

Rob and Sallee Randolph https://bakerstreetphotography.zenfolio.com/blog/2012/8/rob-and-sallee-randolph Chris and I managed to make it to the Nashville, TN area to attend the wedding of my cousin, Rob.  We had a total blast.  I was not the offcial photographer, but Rob and Sallee agreed to let me take photos as well.  This was the best experiance I have ever had at a wedding.  I got to run around and take all the photos I wanted, but I did not have the stress of 'Did I get the shot?' or 'Is my battery going to last the entire ceremony?'.  I got to do what I love, spend time with my family, and get some AMAZING shots of this beautiful wedding.  It was one of the most beautiful things for me to experiance.  I got to see Rob marry the girl of his dreams, and bond with my new cousin Sallee, as I followed her around with the constant click of my camera.

I have not finished processing all of their photos, but these are some great shots for everyone to enjoy!

Congrats Rob!  Welcome to the amazing Randolph family Sallee! (Even if it is 'The Other Randolph' branch :D )

Bruce and Carmen Dawson https://bakerstreetphotography.zenfolio.com/blog/2012/8/bruce-and-carmen-dawson Carmen and Bruce were the first couple we did a wedding for that we had not previously met.  When I got Carmen's e-mail about booking I was SO nervous.  We set up a consultation meeting and Chris and I went to meet them.  I was nervous over nothing.  Carmen and Bruce were laid back, cool and simply excited about finally getting married.

Normally grooms tend to just sit back and not say anything during the creative process.  They just don't seem that interested in giving any input about desired shots.  What I loved about Bruce was that he was so involved with this wedding.  He had ideas.  He had shots that HE wanted.  Grooms don't usually do that and that is part of what made this a unique experiance for me.  When we did the engagement session with them, Bruce had this great idea for a shot.  He tried to explain to me what he wanted from the shot, I'm still not sure if I did it the way he wanted, but these are the shots that came from his idea.

Carmen was a photographer's dream bride.  She wasn't picky, she never went into Bridezilla mode (even when you could see she was stressed) she was a ton of fun and not only was she a beautiful bride, she was simply easy to shoot.  It is always nice when your job is easier than it should be!  Clients are great, but it is so amazing to be able to take it a step farther and be able to say that I truly made a friend. That is one of the reasons why I will not ever forget working with Carmen.  She is just that cool.

When the wedding day finally arrived we got to meet everyone.  Meeting the family is always tough on a photographer because while you do need to know who is important to be sure to get shots of, remebering who is who, names and which side of the family they belong to is SO HARD.  I got to spend alot of time with Carmen's Mom and  Step Mother.  I think that they loved seeing me squirm because I could not for the life of me tell which was which.  I was too embaressed to ask.  I will say that I am proud of myself for figuring it out eventually.  The fact that I couldn't tell was pretty neat.  Working with the families of this couple was a great experiance.

My favorite part of any wedding is the Bride and Groom shots.  As a photographer you get to witness their special day and freeze a moment in time that was special to them, and that is an amazing feeling.

Bruce and Carmen looked like models out of a magizene add for David's Bridal.  The shots Chris and I got of them blew our minds. This was my favortie shot from their Bride and Groom session.  I took a similar shot but this one of Chris's seriously made me do a double take.

We had a blast working with this couple.  We wish them the best in life.  They have a love that will last.  You can't look at them and not see it.

Family Fun with the Jacksons https://bakerstreetphotography.zenfolio.com/blog/2012/8/family-fun-with-the-jacksons I had a blast working with the Jackson family.

Their daughter was amazingly sweet and adorable!

I was major stressed because Chris and I only spent about and hour shooting when we had planned on staying longer but when I got to review the shots I was relieved.

Chris and I had managed to capture some beautiful shots of the baby, and when we went through the editing process it was SO hard to choose photos for processing because it seemed every face she made was precious!

When we shoot family sessions I love capturing the candid shots.  The ones where no one is really paying attention to me, and getting caught up in the moment.  My favorite shot was of the father when he got distracted by his daughter doing something cute. He had this unique smile that seemed like it was just for her.

You could just see the love that this family had for their new addition. This family was so kind and you could see the love they had for one another even in the rush of trying to make sure we got all the shots before the baby got sick and tired of us moving her around. Working with them reminded me of the reason I chose to go into this field. To capture the moments--- not just the perfect poses.
